The LGBT Network's aims are to:

• provide a platform to voice concerns, raise awareness and co-ordinate action on issues relevant to LGBT

• build partnerships to challenge homophobia and discrimination

• ensure that statutory agencies include LGBT communities in consultation on service provision

• increase awareness of people working in local statutory agencies of the needs and interests of the LGBT community

• provide a response to consultation on priorities for the Wandsworth Council Gender Equality Scheme (by April 2007) as required by the Equality Act 2006 – which must include contact with local LGBT people
